Chaosium is back making Lovecraftian Boardgames again

27 years after Arkham Horror, Chaosium has returned to making Lovecraftian board games again, with the new Miskatonic University: The Restricted Collection. This panel discusses the development of the game, working with design legend Reiner Knizia, and exciting plans in this area for the future.

Mythos Roleplaying in World War 2

From the Roaring Twenties through the Great Depression, Lovecraft’s stories spanned different time periods, reflecting the time he was writing them. Games based on the Cthulhu Mythos have done likewise, following the period into that of the Second World War. >From The Day After Ragnarok to World War Cthulhu to Achtung! Cthulhu, this seminar discusses how that period has been addressed in Lovecraftian gaming.

Dark Adventure Radio Theatre: Masks of Nyarlathotep by HPLHS

Sean and Andrew will talk about their newest audio drama show “Dark Adventure Radio Theatre: Masks of Nyarlathotep”, an epic tale of globe-trotting adventure inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft, presented as a 1930s-style radio drama. Dark Adventure Radio Theatre presents the tale with an absurdly large cast of professional actors, exciting sound effects and thrilling original music by Troy Sterling Nies.

Let’s examine how these games have differed in tone and theme from Call of Cthulhu, and what creative decisions were made to make them distinctive.

LARP – The Mysterious Collection of late Carter Cavendish

Carter Cavendish – an eccentric multimillionaire and a legend in his own lifetime, has been one of the most mysterious figures among the rich and famous of the world.
